What drinks can the 176 make?
The 176 brews cups from 2 to 16 oz. and offers 30+ custom specialty beverage recipes, including coffee shots, iced coffees, cappuccinos, hot and iced lattes, mochas, and ice refreshers, using K-Cup® pods.
How does BrewID® work?
BrewID® recognizes the brand and roast of the K-Cup® pod you insert, then automatically customizes the specialty beverage brew settings so each cup is dialed in for that specific coffee.
What daily maintenance does the 176 require?
The 176 is a more complex system that needs a few short daily tasks (about 3–5 minutes): running the Brewer Rinse and Powder Rinse cycles, emptying the used K-Cup® ejection bin, and wiping down the exterior and drip tray. A Quench-badged technician also performs a full preventive maintenance service twice a year at no additional cost.
Is there weekly maintenance too?
Yes. About once a week (15–20 minutes), you’ll swap and clean the milk and flavored powder hoppers and the whipper bowl toppers with warm soapy water, using the spare set so the machine stays in service while parts are washed.
Does the 176 work at high altitude?
Yes. It features a “High Altitude” mode for locations over 5,000 ft. to maintain consistent performance.
Can it dispense plain hot water?
Yes. The 176 offers quick hot water dispensing for other beverages, soups, and oatmeal.
