The Story

Students from a well-known Ivy League university on the East Coast aimed to make their campus a more sustainable place. With the goal of reducing plastic waste across campus departments, students wanted to determine how the academic staff was hydrating themselves. After noticing that many school departments and colleges use 5-gallon jug water coolers, the student-led sustainability group searched for a more environmentally-friendly water cooler alternative. After some competitive analysis, students determined Culligan Quench as the best solution for the university to replace their plastic water bottle dispensers altogether. Culligan Quench quickly became one of the institution’s most utilized sustainable solutions, completing the student’s goal of eliminating 5-gallon water jug usage across campus departments. With easy and safe installation from Culligan Quench’s seasoned technicians, university staff were also no longer burdened with difficult and messy water jug installation and upkeep.

Additionally, the university’s administration was impressed that Culligan Quench was able to meet the student’s goal of reducing plastic use campus-wide while reducing costs significantly.
