The Twist Flavored & Sparkling Water Dispenser Hydrated Thousands of Marathoners in Chicago and NYC at the Two World Majors
The Twist Flavored and Sparkling Water Dispenser was front and center during two of the seven Abbott World Marathon Majors race weeks this past fall: the Abbott Health & Fitness Expo during the Bank of America Chicago Marathon in October and the TCS New York City Marathon Expo Presented by New Balance in November.

Culligan Quench’s parent company, Culligan International, proudly served as the Official Water Solutions Partner for the TCS New York City Marathon and as a Supporting Sponsor for the Bank of America Chicago Marathon, providing more sustainable hydration to thousands of dedicated runners. The Twist served as part of a larger effort to avoid single-use plastic bottle waste at the Culligan Hydration Station at the Expo at both events.
How the Twist Reduced Plastic Waste and Kept Runners Hydrated

The Culligan booths welcomed hundreds of thousands of visitors, with more than 27,000 choosing to hydrate with Twist. Altogether, the machine recorded 27,727 dispenses, 73% flavored and 35% sparkling, underscoring runners’ appetite for taste and variety.

- Peach Mango
The Twist flavored and sparkling water dispenser connects directly to existing water lines. Therefore, it was able to deliver a continuous flow of delicious, filtered water without ever having to rely on plastic bottled water. In total, Twist’s bottles-saved calculator tracked 15,260 plastic bottles replaced between the two events.
