Before you commit to Culligan Quench’s water-as-a-service solution, read our step-by-step guide below on how a bottleless water cooler installation works.
Most standard bottleless water cooler installations can be completed in about 1.5 hours, making it a fast upgrade for workplace hydration.
Step 1: Download and run through the pre-installation checklist.
Before one of our certified technicians install your Culligan Quench countertop water cooler and/or free-standing water cooler, there are some pre-installation requirements that vary depending on the machine you order.
Step 2: You and your Culligan Quench technician work together to figure out the best place to situate your bottleless water cooler.
A highly skilled Culligan Quench technician will work with you to determine the best location for your countertop water cooler and/or free-standing water cooler. A Culligan Quench bottleless water dispenser can be situated just about anywhere you need drinking water as long as there is a grounded power outlet within 6 feet and a potable water source within 200 feet.
Step 3: Technicians test the water quality.
Once technicians believe they found the best location for your countertop water cooler and/or free-standing water cooler, they test the building’s water quality and pressure. Our technicians are all insured and have undergone extensive training at our own Culligan Quench University. Therefore, you can rest assured you are in good hands. If the water pressure and water quality checks out, technicians move on to step 4.
Step 4: A water line is connected to the building’s water source and routed to the bottleless water dispenser.
If it’s not right next to the water source, and most of our 60,000 installations are not, our installer can run a water line virtually invisibly behind walls, above drop ceilings or under base boards. Culligan Quench uses only food grade tubing and high-quality fittings. Beyond that, all installation work conforms to local building code requirements. If necessary, tubing can be fed through an opening in the wall and then finished with an outlet plate, similar to a cable television connection. Ball valves are installed at either end of the bottleless water dispenser line for easy shut off and machine maintenance.
Step 5: The bottleless water dispenser is connected, and your water is on!
Finally, your Culligan Quench installer will test the unit to be certain that it is working perfectly. Once this process is complete, your Culligan Quench tech walks you through exactly how to use your new Quench countertop water cooler and/or free-standing water cooler to empower you and the rest of your workforce to stay hydrated for years to come. Your installer will then tidy up, leaving your space as clean as he found it.
Step 6: A Culligan Quench tech will routinely conduct preventive maintenance services.
As part of Culligan Quench’s comprehensive service program, a certified Quench technician will routinely conduct an 11-point inspection and maintenance service on your Culligan Quench machine to ensure your office drinking water, ice, and/or coffee is always clean and great-tasting. Preventive maintenance service calls are administered yearly for bottleless water coolers and coffee brewers and bi-annually for ice machines and most sparkling water dispensers.
Technicians are equipped with cell phones tablets running Culligan Quench’s service app to track your cooler’s information and service history. Our ERP system will automatically remind your Culligan Quench technician when your machines need maintenance. This frees up any burden from you having to remember to call your service tech for regular maintenance.
